It’s probably a universal truth at this point that breakups and heartaches are incredibly devastating emotional ordeals. But sometimes, well, a lot of times, there’s just no avoiding them. There are so many instances of couples getting into relationships despite the fact that they’re just not meant to be with each other. There are lots of relationships that go up in flames for a number of possible reasons and that’s just something that people are always going to have to live with. It can be hard to pinpoint a general reason as to why couples choose to break up because relationships are just too complicated. 

We are always taught that we have to work hard to get the things we want in life. It’s the same with relationships. They are never going to be easy and we always have to fight hard to make them work. But sometimes, it gets to a point that no amount of effort in the world could even salvage a relationship. It’s at this point where you just have to shake each other’s hands and move on with your individual lives. There’s no point in forcing something that just isn’t meant to be. There’s no point in prolonging the inevitable.

When you’re in a doomed relationship, it can be difficult for you to actually tell that your relationship is just a ticking time bomb. Sometimes, your love or your desperation can blind you and can lead you to believe that even though your relationship is dying, you still have the power to work things out. If you aren’t vigilant enough, you only ever realize that your relationship isn’t meant to be once it’s actually over. And by then, you will have experienced lots of pain, heartache, anguish, and disappointment. Yes, time will eventually heal all wounds but you don’t always have to let things get so bad.

You shouldn’t feel guilty about wanting to end things when you know that things just aren’t going to work out. You shouldn’t be afraid to pull the plug on something that is doomed anyway. That’s why it’s okay for you to just walk away from a dead-end relationship. But the key is in actually figuring out that you’re in a dead-end relationship to start with. If you don’t want to get blindsided by the signs, then you have to develop a sense of self-awareness in your relationship. Here are some red flags that you need to be on the lookout for in your relationship.

1. The relationship stresses you out.

While relationships aren’t exactly strolls in the park, they shouldn’t be leaving you perpetually stressed out. Relationships aren’t designed to be easy, but they’re also not designed to be a major source of your stress. You should be in a relationship that actually helps alleviate your stress. You should be with a partner who wants to help make your life easier. You shouldn’t be constantly at odds with one another.

2. There is a shortage of intimacy in the relationship.

Couples who don’t practice intimacy, affection, or endearment with one another shouldn’t even be considered as couples anymore. You are practically just people who are living your lives in accordance or alongside one another’s. A healthy relationship is always filled with lots of love, affection, and intimacy. When your relationship is devoid of these things, then you can bet that the end is near. 

3. You start losing your social life.

If you’re caught in a relationship where you feel constantly isolated from the outside world, then you are stuck in a very toxic relationship indeed. Your social life outside of your relationship shouldn’t have to suffer just because you’re in a supposedly romantic affair with someone. You should still be allowed and encouraged to have a life outside of your relationship.

4. You no longer get your opportunities for alone time.

When you get into a relationship with another person, it’s a given that you should be willing to share a lot of your time with your partner. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to give up your time completely. You should still be afforded the opportunity to spend some time by yourself. If your partner doesn’t respect your privacy, then that means you’re not in a healthy relationship at all. 

5. Every conversation leads to a fight.

Couples fight. That’s a given. No two people are ever going to get a long a hundred percent of the time. Lots of couples are going to go through disagreements and conflicts. That’s part of the game. But what isn’t normal is when couples just seem to be caught in a perpetual argument. If it’s as if every conversation that you have with one another just leads to another fight, then that’s a relationship that really isn’t going to end well.

Raila planned misfortune for country but we disappointed him, President Kenyatta says

NAIROBI, 9 SEPTEMBER 2017, (PSCU) — 

President Uhuru Kenyatta today said the opposition had schemed a misfortune for the country by misleading the Supreme Court to nullify his victory which was clear to all Kenyans and was confirmed by all election observers.

The President said the opposition expected that the Jubilee Government would reject the directions by the courts because the election was free, transparent and the victory was clear.

“Raila was shocked that we accepted the verdict of the court. He thought we are like him and would reject the decision,” said the President when he  addressed a mammoth rally at the historic Uhuru Park, Nairobi.

The President said the decision of the Supreme Court to nullify his clear victory on questionable grounds was very painful, but his anger is now over.

He said he did not agree with the judges because they overturned the voice of 15 million Kenyans on the basis of forms that had errors, pointing out that these were actions of unscrupulous presiding and returning officers.

The President pointed out that Raila Odinga’s use of the Supreme Court to sabotage his victory is similar to the former Prime Minister’s use of the International Criminal Court to weigh down Jubilee leaders ahead of the 2013 elections.

“In 2007, he lost the election and he refused to accept defeat and caused bloodshed. When he got what he wanted (Raila was appointed Prime Minister to stop the post-election violence), he turned around and said Uhuru and Ruto were responsible for the violence,” said the President.

The President said their innocence and prayers by Kenyans ensured that they were cleared of the false charges.

He said he was happy that Kenyans overwhelmingly voted for Jubilee leaders at all levels in the August 8 elections, and gave him victory with a margin of 1.4 million votes.

The President said the Jubilee Government has made progress in its first term, including the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway, equipping two hospitals in every county with modern equipment, transformed education and built more than 7000km of roads.

“Our objective is to see Kenya progress and nobody can make us deviate from that,” said the President.

He thanked Kenyans for maintaining peace during the prolonged electioneering period.

“Their is no need for Kenyans to fight one another; the vote is the real truth teller,” said the President.

The Head of State thanked the residents of Nairobi County and other counties in the Nairobi metropolitan (Kiambu, Machakos, Kajiado) for supporting Jubilee and electing Jubilee Governors.

The President said encouraging trends are already being seen in Nairobi, which was previously controlled by an ODM governor.

He said the county government now under Jubilee’s Mike Sonko has sealed corruption loopholes and is collecting Sh39 million a day up from Sh7 million.

The President said there is evidence money was being siphoned and used to fund the opposition.

“Now they cannot steal from Kenyans to run their political affairs and that is why they are carrying around pay bill numbers,” said the President said.

Deputy President William Ruto said the Supreme Court was used to subvert, shortchange and overturn the will of 15 million voters. He asked the court to “come to its senses and apologize to the people of Kenya”.

He said “at the heart of any democracy” is the right of the people to decide. The DP pointed out that neither the will of candidates nor civil society sponsors can decide for the people.

Mr Ruto predicted that Kenyans’ resolve to elect President Kenyatta will be restated on the October 17, the date set for the fresh presidential election.

He told the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman to take his responsibilities as presidential election returning officer seriously, and stop “apportioning blame, stop writing memos and stop holding night meetings”.

Majority Leaders in the National Assembly and Senate Aden Duale and Kipchumba Murkomen told the IEBC to concentrate in planning the fresh election, not sideshows.

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta was also at the meeting. In a brief speech, she urged Kenyans to vote in in peace in the repeat elections ordered by the Supreme Court.

Heartbreak in Nashville: Country music mourns Troy Gentry, Don Williams

Friday afternoons usually come as a relief but not this one. Within a span of minutes, the country music world learned it had lost two of its own: 

Troy Gentry, one-half of Kentucky duo Montgomery Gentry, died in a helicopter crash at age 50, while Hall of Famer Don Williams passed away at 78.

The industry mourned both on Twitter.

"It's a heavy day for country music," said Josh Turner, summing up what his community was feeling.

"The world changed today. Country music lost a both a friend and a hero," noted Lee Brice.
Chris Young noted the dual heartbreak in two posts.The Grand Ole Opry mourned the loss of Gentry, who was inducted in 2009 along with Eddie Montgomery. Jason Aldean recalled how Gentry, whom he dubbed "T-Roy," and his Montgomery Gentry bandmate Eddie Montgomery were "always extremely cool and supportive" of him when he was a new artist. "I will always have nothing but respect for those guys," he wrote. Travis Tritt admitted he was in "total shock and disbelief" over the loss of longtime friend Gentry. "I just saw him days ago!" he noted. "Those Williams boys, they still mean a lot to me/ Hank & Tennessee & Don, too," wrote Roseanne Cash, updating the lyrics to Don Williams'  own Good Ole Boys Like Me.

Veteran Kenyan opposition Chief Raila Odinga, is set to face President Uhuru Kenyatta, in a repeat of last month‟s presidential election, which was invalidated by the country‟s Supreme Court. He was chided by western observers for crying foul when the election results were announced, only to be vindicated by the nation‟s Supreme Court, which ruled that President Kenyatta was not validly elected. Mr. Odinga has spent most of his political career in the opposition benches, while running for the Presidency in four occasions. Mr. Odinga was sent to East Germany by his father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, (Kenya‟s first Vice President), for further studies. He attended Herder Institut, where he attained a certificate in spoken German language. This was the first step for any foreign students who wished to live and study in East Germany. He was a poor student, and it took him over four years to learn the language. He was later enrolled at the Technical School of Magdenburg. However this was just a cover, since he had been recruited for Marxist indoctrination by the communist East Germans, who saw him and his connections back home, as a useful asset in the wider scheme of their ideological influence in Africa. His father Jaramogi had been in contact with the Russian Soviet Union way before independence, and they sent him arms to destabilize and orchestrate a coup. The plot was uncovered and Jaramogi Odinga was exiled to political cold until the advert of multiparty politics in 1990.

The following is a list of young Raila‟s activities in East Germany, as recalled by one of his instructors, a former Stasi agent, working under the direct authority of Markus Wolfe, the head of the foreign intelligence section.
According to declassified East German intelligence information, Raila Odinga was used by the GDR intelligence to spy on West Germany, unknowingly.

Raila was perpetually broke in East German and hence resorted to smuggling. He was the head of a drug smuggling ring out of East Germany to West Germany, and vice versa. He brought in western cigarette brands and marijuana, for his East German handlers, through check point Charlie, the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the cold war. Since he was enrolled at the technical school in Magdeburg, Raila never showed up for any classes. According to information from his file, recovered by the unified nation‟s Federal Intelligence Service (BND), after reunification, Raila was only trained as a Lada( brand of cars manufactured by the Russian car manufacturer AvtoVAZ) vehicle mechanic for nine months. For rest of his time, the East German Stasi agents (former East German Secret police), were busy indoctrinating Raila in Marxist Ideology. According to the head of the program, Raila was a poor student, who could not grasp basic communist ideologies. He took longer than others. He was also disorganized and disruptive, never kept time, and a raging alcoholic, who loved smoking marijuana. He could not keep friends, but his fellow African students tolerated him because of his status, and he could procure Eastern European prostitutes for them, for a small price.

While he took longer than others in learning Communist Ideology, what set him apart from the rest is that he actually believed in it. He excelled in the theory of political deception, mobilizing and the art of political brinkmanship by using violence to achieve communist goals. His instructors were impressed by the results, that one of them jotted a footnote on the bottom of his file indicating that he had been turned into a valuable asset,- a useful idiot. It would not be long after his return home that Raila‟s training in violence actualized. His rap sheet is long that we were able to squeeze his chequered violence related activities below;

The 1982 Coup which he is proud of, together with Kenya Air Force officers, belonging to his Luo ethnic tribe.

The Mwakenya movement that was financed by late Libyan Dictator Muammar Gadaffi and a network of his close associates, targeting university students to cause political violence with the targeted aim of regime change.(He accomplished all this while in detention)

The 1992 Ford Kenya national delegates‟ conference at the Nairobi City stadium where Raila stormed his father‟s meeting with hired thugs from the poor East lands suburb of Nairobi, pulling down the perimeter fence. His father Jaramogi admonished him by publicly telling him in Swahili „AMOLO HUNA ADABU? KIMYA MARA MOJA, PAMOJA NA HAO VIJANA WAKO WAKORA‟.

The 1995 Ford Kenya elections at the Thika stadium where his hired youth wingers disrupted the elections, causing violence and injury to Arch Bishop Manasses Kuria, and roughed up then Ford Kenya first Vice Chairman Michael Wamalwa, that resulted in the breakup of that party.

The 2007 post-election violence Raila, funded by billionaire Philanthropist George Soros, where a militia orchestrated the violence in Kibera and Mathare on the day President Kibaki was inaugurated. Raila lit the spark in Kibera and Mathare that led to the worst political and electoral crisis in post independent Kenya since the coup he funded and organized in 1982.

The 2013 and 2017 ODM elections primaries where his hired men in black thugs disrupted both primaries to ensure his handpicked political candidates carried the day.

In the 2017 post-election violence, Raila Odinga paid the thugs in Kibera and Mathare slums in Nairobi, and Kondele market in Kisumu and parts of Siaya and Migori counties, to cause mayhem, when thugs in his payroll, complete with Kenyan Security official camouflage uniform unleashed terror and mayhem on innocent civilians, so he could turn it on the government. The situation could have degenerated were it not for a phone call from former US President Barack Obama warning Raila that he would be held personally responsible if the violence escalated. With the court verdict in his favor, Raila has been given a new lease of political life.

Raila‟s training in political brinksmanship will result in his demand for electoral body‟s personnel shake up. The period preceding the election rerun will cast a long dark cloud on the Republic of Kenya, causing economic and political turmoil on the East African nation. Raila will exploit all legal and illegal provisions in the constitution to ensure no election is held. He does not have the numbers and knows he will lose. Expect protracted legal battles and political mass action to precipitate a constitutional crisis. Raila is not interested in any election. Any political stalement favors him. Mr. Odinga and his pay master George Soros realized that wide spread political violence cannot occur in Kenya, like he has been financing in the DR Congo. Mr. Soros will continue to fund Mr. Odinga through legal firms in Kenya associated with his subversive activities. President Kenyatta will have to walk a tight rope to rein him in while not appearing to act like an African strong man dictator. This will require utmost political and social skills set. One thing for sure is Raila will push him to the end. To neutralize Raila, the Uhuru camp needs to move to court to demand Raila‟s education credentials. In fact, the bone of contention between Mr. Odinga and former Vice President Michael Wamalwa, was the latter accusing Raila of being illiterate and embellishing about his educational achievements. Raila‟s education background is highly decorated but it IS emerging that the former Prime Minister did not go past certificate level education.

Looking at his education background, this is what you see:

1965-1969-MSc, Mechanical Engineering (Production Technology), Magdeburg (now Otto von Guericke University), GDR. This is highly unlikely because the Technical University Magdeburg was a teacher training college and a medical school that was absorbed into the university when it was created in 1993. The school did not have Mechanical Engineering faculty, unless Mr. Odinga graduated after 1993, when the University began offering this faculty.

1962-1965- Certificate of Higher Education, Herder Institute, Leipzig, German Democratic Republic, with Competence in German Language

1961-1962-Maranda High School, Bondo, Kenya

1953-1960- Maranda Primary School, Bondo, Kenya, Certificate of Primary Education

1952-1953- Khomulo Primary School, Kisumu, Kenya

But his file with the East Germans indicated that he only attained a certificate in higher education for German language which he studied at the Herder Institute.

According to one former Stasi agent Raila confessed to him that he never graduated grade school. “Raila never graduated from Maranda due to poor grades. He told me he held the record of repeating several classes there, becoming the oldest student before finally quitting”.

He was the first African to study abroad without scholarship at a time when even his own father was securing scholarships for intelligent Africans e.g. Dr.Munyua Waiyaki, Dr.Odongo Omamo, etc. Raila‟s POOR grades didn‟t qualify him for scholarships.

He does not have a real degree e.g. Masters or Bachelors. Again, Wamalwa challenged him on this but he could not provide his graduation credentials as evidence of his successful education. Mr. Odinga has a few honorary degrees from learning institutions in Africa and Asia. (Honorary Degrees are normally conferred to individuals without post-secondary education).

At the University of Nairobi, he is RUMOURED to have been an Assistant Lecturer (nobody knows how he got it without a degree), who didn‟t teach students, after they complained and questioned his teaching abilities. His movement was restricted to the labs, after which he was fired by Prof R. Jones, Dean of the Engineering School, following the advice of Prof. W. B. Palmer, the head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

 Raila Odinga used to promote rumors that he studied Nuclear Engineering. Then he started saying that it was mechanical when cornered to explain how he started the East African Spectra, the Odinga family owned flagship gas cylinder enterprise. The information from the East Germany reveals a trail of funds from the Soviet Union to bank accounts in the name of Jaramogi Odinga‟s Luo Thrift Union around the same time the company started its operations. Mr. Odinga is a man who loves to pick up political brawls. He will not blink an eye, if Kenya tips over the precipice. For him, it‟s a price that has to be paid to secure political accommodation in the next government. Mr. Odinga‟s last stand, after all has failed, will be the bizarre reenactment of his erstwhile friend, and fellow opposition benchwarmer‟s actions, Dr. Kizza Besigye, of neighboring country Uganda. Mr. Odinga will stage his own swearing in ceremony, most likely in the western city of Kisumu, conducted by senior high court judges from his ethnic Luo tribe, sympathetic to his cause. This will put him and his supporters into direct confrontation with the government, setting the stage for a bloody upheaval. The ball is now squarely on President Kenyatta, and his government and how he will navigate this treacherous political current that have been stirred by Raila Odinga, and, partly by himself. Together with the international observers, they pushed Mr. Odinga to court, without any foresight that he could get the result he wanted. They helped create the mess the country finds itself, and it will be the President who leads the way out of this terrible political morass. Kenya is now on the edge of a precipice

 

Stop giving conditions for repeat polls, Kenyans want to move forward, President Kenyatta tells Raila

NAIVASHA, 8 SEPTEMBER 2017, (PSCU) — 

President Uhuru Kenyatta today said opposition leader Raila Odinga should drop his bid to complicate and delay the repeat presidential election because Kenyans want to move forward.

The President said the prolonged electioneering has affected businesses and the economy is already feeling the negative effects occasioned by the nullification of his victory.

Speaking in Gilgil town and Naivasha, President Kenyatta said the opposition leader should be ready for the repeat polls ordered by the courts and whose date has already been set by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

The President also asked the IEBC to prepare for the polls and should stop engaging with side shows being staged by the opposition.

“IEBC is an independent commission. You are not supposed to take instructions from me and certainly not from Raila. Prepare for the election so that Kenyans can once again exercise their right to choose their leader,” said the President.

"We are not interested in games and newspaper stories. We want you to tell us that you have prepared well for the election."

President Kenyatta said Jubilee leaders and supporters have proved that they are peace loving Kenyans following the decision by the Supreme Court to nullify his clear victory.

He said he accepted to go back to the people because he obeys the law and wants stability for Kenya even though he did not agree with the decision of the judges who nullified the election.

“15 million Kenyans voted and everyone knew that we won. Four people decided their voice is bigger than the voice of 15 million Kenyans. If the court was just and if Raila has any dispute over the votes cast, the votes should have been recounted,” said the President.

The President said Kenya is lucky because the victory that was nullified was his and not Raila's.

“If Raila was in my position, I am sure Kenyans would have been in trouble today,” said the President.

The President said the opposition leader is free to opt out of the repeat polls if he has developed cold feet. But he has no right, the Head of State pointed out, to give Kenyans conditions to be met before he participates in the elections. 

He also reiterated that the Government will not allow anyone to interfere with the national examinations’ calendar. The President criticised the opposition leader for his insensitive comments over children who have been in school for years and have been preparing for exams whose date are fixed.

“You are a candidate and your job is to prepare for the election. I am the President and I care about the Kenyan children. They will do their exams on the scheduled dates,” said the President in response to the opposition leader who demanded that the date of the national exams be delayed so that the election date can be moved from October 17.

The President urged residents in Gilgil and Naivasha to remain peaceful and turn out in large numbers to vote on October 17.

Deputy President William Ruto said the President will win with a bigger margin than he did on August 8.

“We defeated you on August 8 and we will defeat you again with a bigger margin. The same Kenyans who rejected you on August 8 will do the same again,” the DP told the opposition leader. “We are doing Raila and his friends in the courts a favour by participating in the repeat elections because we won,” said the DP.

The DP asked IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati to prepare for the elections without being distracted.

The President and his deputy who earlier addressed supporters at Kapkatet, Kericho, where a co-principal of the opposition defected to Jubilee, were accompanied by many leaders including Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen among others.

Murder Trial For Kenyan Lady In Ebersdorf Extended

The murder trail involving a Kenyan lady accused of colluding with her ex-lover to have her husband killed has been extended further, with the judgment expected much later.

Susan A. and her ex-boyfriend, Jan D. are still in police custody after their trial that was set to end on 28th August has been extended, with five additional court days added.

The past three court days in August were quite uneventful unlike those in June and July (READ: Court Process for Kenyan Accused of Murder in Ebersdorf Continues). These past days had more of Jan D.’s friends and relatives come in as witnesses and continue testifying of Jan’s innocence. Many of whom agreed that it must have been Susan’s plan and Jan was helplessly in-love thus explaining his “temporary insanity” and alleged attempts to kill Karl-Ekkehart A. since 2013.

Susan A. on 21st August maintained her position that she and her late husband, Karl-Ekkehart A., were attacked in their home by three masked men. On being asked about Jan D.’s accusations, she said, “I never planned to kill him [her husband]. We never spoke about it [the murder]”.

On 22nd August, Jan D’s step-mother, Roswitha K. was in court in her stepson’s defence. According to her, Susan had openly spoken with friends and family and told them she wanted to get rid of her husband. “She said, she wanted to get someone to do it. But I warned her, I told her there were other ways.” but her warnings fell on deaf ears. ” But she still doesn’t want to believe it, with all her white lies. Everything will be revealed.”

Roswitha K. went on to tell the court that when she visited her stepson, he sounded so relieved. “Thank God, that now I’m in jail, I can be away from her. She had put me under so much pressure,” Jan allegedly told his step-mother.

Ex-Lover Arrested for Kenyan Lady’s Bloody Attack in Ebersdorf

Karl-Ekkehart A.’s sister, Iris M. and his bestfriend, Horst T. were in court on 23rd August with further accusations of their own. Horst T. told the court that he had known Susan since 2006 when he met her in Mombasa and that even then he knew she was bad news. “She was 22 and had an expensively apartment. I suspect she got her money working as a prostitute,” Horst told the court. He went on to claim that Karl-Ekkehart, who until 2016 worked as an assembly technician in Switzerland and earned up to 6500 euros, always complained that he was always broke. In summer 2016, Karl-Ekkehart allegedly stopped giving Susan A. money.

Kenyan Lady in Critical Condition After Violent Attack in Ebersdorf

On 12th September 2016, Karl-Ekkehart called his sister Iris M.. “He was planning a divorce, he had even found an apartment to move to,” Iris M. told the court.

On 13th September 2016, Karl-Ekkehart was murdered.

The sentencing is expected in November. Both face life imprisonment.
